Winter Warmth

A night of kindness

The Cascade Neighborhood Council will be meeting for a night of kind acts. The group is looking for volunteers to join council members as they walking through the Cascade neighborhood delivering warm hats and socks to community members who are spending more time outdoors, due to many day shelters closing, and to those who have been sleeping outdoors. Hot chocolate and cookies will also be passed out.

If you cannot attend as a volunteer, please consider donating warm hats and socks. Donations can be new or slightly used, should be in good condition and clean. Donations can be dropped at the meeting location on Wednesday the 18th (info below) or Monday December 16th to Wednesday December 18th between 9am-5pm at the Cascade People’s Center, 309 Pontius Ave North.

Wednesday, December 18th, 5pm-7pm

Meet at Lakeview Apartments, 1170 Harrison Street, by front gate.

Bring any collected donations and be sure to dress for the weather.
