Compost at Home: Build and Maintain Worm Bins

August 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Learn how to turn food scraps into compost, even in a limited space! This class is geared towards those interested in recycling their food scraps into rich compost. We will focus on vermiculture – or worm composting – and teach you how to make your own indoor worm bin. The compost made from red wiggler worm castings is the best fertilizer you can add to your container garden to keep your plants healthy and happy. Come see how easy it is to get started composting in your home and make free fertilizer for your garden.

These classes are offered free of charge and made possible by support from Seattle Parks and Recreation, Downtown Seattle Association and the Cascade Playground Activation Committee.

Registration required.
